Solitude
Through rails and roads, I drift alone,
A fleeting shadow overthrown.
The music hums, my solemn guide,
Through restless nights and hollow tides.I am a pause a passing face,
Temporary, easy to replace.
Their hearts will mend, their lives renew,
And I'll remain forgotten too.Even the close ones, once so near,
Will trade my voice, for other's cheer.
They'll laugh, they'll love, they'll carry on,
Unknowing I am not yet gone.I'd love to vanish, leave no mark,
My name erased, my soul grown dark.
I wish to vanish, leave no trace,
To free this world of my pitiful embrace.Into the void, I long to fall,
No echoes left, no name to call.
To be forgotten, One with night,
A vanishing mist, in fading light.I am but a side character, Cast in haze,
A background note in endless plays.
